Alfonso Brookman (アルフォンソ＝ブルックマン Arufonso Burukkuman?) is an urban sociology professor who is referred to in the opening of Toaru Kagaku no Railgun: Cold Game.[1]

Alfonso Brookman is referred to as having once spoken about how a bizarre social order exists in Academy City, where despite 80% of its population of 2.3 million consisting of students, it still supports all ages in a wide variety of ways and doesn't experience declines in areas for the minority of ages, and the city's majority is burdened with the obligation of maintaining the social system, built to match that of the outside world.[1]
