Biagio Busoni (ビアージオ＝ブゾーニ Biājio Buzōni^?) is the antagonist of Volume 11. His rank is that of a Bishop, which has the power to command 1000 soldiers for his project. He was assigned to be the overseer of the project to remodel the "Queen of Adriatic Sea," orignally a weapon that could only target Venice, into a weapon that can be used anywhere, namely Academy City^[2].He is a ruthless man who sees the glory of the Roman Catholic Church as everything, willing to sacrifice the lives of everyone on the guardian armada in order to preserve its name.

As of Volume 14, he's captured after the events of Volume 11 and is locked up in the London Tower along with Lidvia Lorenzetti.^[3]

Abilities

His magic unleashes any hidden meaning in his crucifix cross, both Christian and pagan.^[2]

St. Margaret's Crucifix - Summons crucifixes that expand to large weapons three meters in length and 40 cm in thickness. This spell is based on the story of St. Margaret the Virgin, who killed a dragon from the inside by stabbing it with a large cross. Activated using the incantation "—The Cross reveals the rejection to evil."

Cruciform Projectile - Causes numerous small crosses to act as high-speed projectiles. To be used, the command "—Then, my Cross will reject this evil." is recited.

Weight of the Cross - Based on tales of Saints Lucia and Christopher, Biagio uses crucifixes to create a zone of immense gravity on an area. The activation command is "—The weight of the Cross corrects the haughty."

Execution by the Cross - A spell based on the earliest uses of the cross, it is an execution spell that is very difficult, if not impossible, to evade. Is activated using the phrase "—Simon bears the Cross of the 'Son of God'."
