Brax Mizhine (ブラクス＝マイズハイン, Burakusu Maizuhain^?) was a bloodline investigator living in Cambridge, who appears posthumously in Toaru Majutsu no Index SS: Agnese's Magic Side Work Experience.

At some point, Brax was visited by Albert Dying, leader of the Guild, who wanted him to appraise a stolen spiritual item, which he believed to be the genuine Sickle of Saturn, the powers of which were necessary to their plan to destroy Christian society. Wanting to earn extra money, Brax faked the appraisal and gave the item a false stamp of authenticity. Later on, after the fake spiritual item resulted in the ceremony failing and Albert nearly being killed by a Necessarius squad, losing subordinates and resources in the process, he returned to Brax's mansion and executed him, dismembering his body and storing the remains in his fridge in plastic containers and wrapping.

While attempting to uncover the identity of Tu, leader of the Guild, Agnese Sanctis, Lucia and Angelene discovered a report of Brax going missing during a gap in a series of thefts connected to Tu. The nuns decided to check his Cambridge mansion for clues and after being forced to infiltrate in the nude to avoid detection from the magical security, Lucia discovered Brax's dismembered corpse in the fridge. Looking through his documents, discovered that his last job involved the Sickle of Saturn, leading the Anglican's to uncover Tu's identity as Albert Dying.

The magical security traps in Brax's mansion include a large metal front gate which detects artificial objects, an obvious pitfall, autonomous traps combining the appearance of plants and animals with trapping, torture and execution tools (including a hedgehog firing over 50 spine syringes in a wide area barrage, a turtle carrying a bear trap on its back, bats with nooses for heads hanging from tree branches, and roses with barbed wire for vines), and a pressurized water jet set to bisect those who touch the keyhole of the back door.
