Canada (カナダ Kanada?) is the second-largest country in the world, located in North America and bordered to the south by the United States of America.

The country of Canada has its origins in the European colonies established in North America from the early 16th century. England and France both made claims to the land in the region, gaining and losing it over the course of various disputes, until France ceded their territories to the British Empire in 1763, the provinces and territories eventually accreting to form what would become modern Canada.
Being a former territory of the British Empire, Canada is a member of the British Commonwealth.[1]

On the Second Friday of October, when the Sisters were dispatched to destroy the facilities of the Gemstone Mining research organizations around the world and rescue the gemstones imprisoned there, Misaka 16836 was sent to the Universe of the Heart Research Room in Moosonee, Canada. During her progress report, she mentioned that she had just succeeded in cutting all power, including the emergency generators of the facility.[2]
