Gemstone Girl (原石の少女 Genseki no Shōjo?) is a minor character introduced in Toaru Majutsu no Index. Debuting in Toaru Majutsu no Index Light Novel Volume SS2, she is an unnamed Gemstone with a power that has not been detailed.
Appearance[]
She has long blond hair and blue eyes, but her most distinctive feature are: the fact that she walks around with a suitcase handcuffed to her right hand, her young looks which imply that she should be around her late teens and that she wears a one piece dress that has been described as "covering so little, that isn't much of a clothing". It should be noted that she is unusually beautiful for someone of her age, gifted with a gorgeous face and a feminine body line.[1]
Personality[]
The girl is taciturn, and apparently only speaks when necessary. She bears no ill-will and becomes concerned if she hurts people or accidentally gets people involved in her affairs.[1]
Background[]
She meets Kamijou Touya in a train station, apparently believing that she was lost. He later calls out to her in belief of this, though what happens next is not known. Regardless, Touya gave a strong impression of the girl.[1] She seems to have become slightly attached to Kamijou Touya, not only did she follow him from her own initiative, but in the cover of the light novel volume she is seen holding his suit while he was getting away.
She later has her hand cuffed to an attaché case for reasons unknown.

The First Friday of July[]
She reappears later in a bar a day after she met Touya, where Misaka Tabigake and Kamijou Touya had just became acquaintances, at that point she is making a run from her pursuers. As soon as Touya sniffed trouble he made a run out of the place at mach speed, however the Gemstone girl was running right behind him.[1]
Touya and Tanaka later gets caught up in more and more trouble, leading to them to fake their deaths by exploding a unmanned Cessna plane in midair. It is unknown if this has any connection with the girl at all as it is not mentioned what had happened to her afterwards.[1] It is unknown if she is later rescued by the Sisters and taken to Academy City.
Abilities[]
While not detailed, her ability seems to be related to sound. She once used a strong noise to knock down several people, this was described as "With an amazing noise, the girl took out the entire group of men in one blow."[1]
