George Close (ジョージ＝クローズ Jōji Kurōzu?) was one of R&C Occultics' cooperators.[1]
Background[]
Although he was said to look like an intellectual working in a brokerage firm, George Close was buried in debt by December of the story's first year. At some point then, he was contacted by Anna Sprengel in some form and blinded by greed from what she was offering, cooperated by rewriting documents in order to get R&C Occultics onto the London Stock Exchange.[1]

On Christmas morning in the City of London's financial district, he attempted to use a fire spell he had learned online to eliminate data concerning his corruption, but ended up immolating himself with magical fire instead, with plenty of witnesses.[1] It was noted that Anna had likely set things up so that her 'cooperators' would end up self-destructing.[1][2]
Abilities[]
George Close had acquired magical knowledge via R&C Occultics and while he managed to activate magic, he was unable to control the magical fire, leading to his demise.[1] He was capable of rewriting documents in order to get the company on the stock exchange.[1]
