Hakutou (白桃 Hakutō?) is a character introduced in the 6th light novel volume of Shinyaku Toaru Majutsu no Index. She is a member of Anti-Skill, dispatched during the escape of Fräulein Kreutune.
Etymology[]
As if a theme, all three girls that Yomikawa Aiho contacted are named after a type of fruit. The characters in her name can be translated as White Peach.
Personality[]
She seems to prefer using metaphors to describe situations, like the predicament that they were after discovering the information blackout as being like someone hiding underwater to remove your hook, letting the fish escape.
Background[]
Hakutou is acquainted with Aiho, though it is unknown if they operate from the same branch. Hakutou may have been dispatched the previous night to help with the search for the culprit that broke the Calculate Fortress of the Windowless Building.

Aiho first contacts Hakutou, along with Sumomo and Kurumi, after becoming suspicious of the strange information blackout regarding the attack on the Windowless Building, as well as the movements of the not-too-subtle Fräulein Kreutune. Here, Hakutou expresses surprise regarding Aiho's comments if they were able to notice that there was no information at all and their search being interfered on.[1]
Here, it is shown that Hakutou as well as Sumomo were tasked to search information regarding their prey, but is being interfered by someone. Aiho later plans on taking Kurumi, and tells both Hakutou and Sumomo to go back to the station to secure paper reports if possible, if not, then retrieve the temporary cache from the copier.[1]
It is assumed that she acquiesces to Aiho's order.[1]
