Hanakawa Hinadori (花河雛鳥?), also known as Riot (ライオット Raiotto?), is a character introduced in Toaru Kagaku no Railgun SS3.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7]

EtymologyEdit

Her given name, Hinadori, means "baby bird", something which she dislikes.[8]

AppearanceEdit

Hanakawa Hinadori is a small,[4] elementary school aged girl,[4][5] with semi-long blonde hair[4][5][7] and a flat chest.[4]

After shedding her disguise while escaping from Misaka Mikoto's group,[4] she wore a light blue leotard[4][5] with long, skintight sleeves[4] and pointe shoes,[4][5] which looked delicate and not meant for outdoor use.[4] While in custody, she wore baggy pajamas which apparently made her look her age more.[8]

PersonalityEdit

Ch1-6

She prefers to be called Riot over her real name, Hanakawa Hinadori, considering it as unfitting for her and disliking her given name's meaning of "baby bird".[8]

BackgroundEdit

At some point in the past, she became involved with Blue Blood. As an outsider tied to the organization by profit and a pawn which could be thrown away at any time, she was meant to quietly handle dirty work which would snap the group's members out of their delusions if they found out.[9]

Ability

She possesses a powerful form of Telekinesis, which doesn't work on living cells, necessitating tools in order to use it to full effect.[3][5]

During her face-to-face encounter with Misaka Mikoto's group, she wielded a pump-action shotgun,[4] and a self-defense handgun as a last resort, shaped like a stapler and small enough to hide in her sleeve, which operated similar to a fire extinguisher.[5]
