Kamachi Kazuma "Toaru Majutsu no Index" 10th Anniversary Animated Promotional Video

The Kamachi Kazuma "Toaru Majusu no Index" 10th Anniversary Animated Promotional Video is a special animated promotional video that was released on September 10, 2014 on Dengeki's Youtube channel, coinciding with the release of the first volume of The Unexplored Summon://Blood Sign. It was released in celebration for Kamachi Kazuma's 10 year anniversary as a writer, and was the penultimate project release of the 10th Anniversary Projects. The video showcases the main cast of Kamachi's works as they gather for the 10th anniversary event. The video was animated by J.C. Staff, who animated the Toaru Majutsu no Index and Toaru Kagaku no Railgun anime series, and was accompanied by the song "Where I belong... Zutto", performed by Kawada Mami and composed by Iuchi Maiko, both of which contributed to the music of the Index animated series.

A crossover of Kamachi's works similar to the Toaru Majutsu no Heavy na Zashiki-warashi ga Kantan na Satsujinki no Konkatsu Jijou story, the video marks the first time works other than from the Toaru Majutsu no Index-universe have been animated. Notably, this is the first time we are shown the animated versions of Othinus, Thor, and Marian Slingeneyer.

Synopsis

As Accelerator begins to gather up his plasma, Touma can only shout his name. Suddenly, there is a call on Touma's cellphone, interrupting their battle. Hearing the person on the other line, Touma is flabbergasted. Meanwhile, Index is about to feast on the poultry prepared by Maika when she receives a call from someone as well, surprising her. Day time in Mikoto's world, Kuroko waves to her when she is with Ruiko and Kazari. However, as Mikoto goes to them she is tripped by Misaki. Mikoto is angered by this, but then Misaki hands them a message, surprising the girls.

In some frozen wasteland, Heivia and Quenser are fighting against an unseen assailant while an Object to Object battle is going with Milinda piloting one of them. The "Princess" tells them not to worry as the battle rages on. Their commander, Froleytia, calls them and says that they are just getting in the way in an Object to Object battle. Suddenly, Index arrives in her command center and says that something big is happening, much to Froyletia's bewilderment. Suddenly in the snow, a cylindrical hole is pushed out by Touma with an apologetic smile.

Meanwhile from out of the sky, Mikoto is on a surfing a platter as she comes upon Jinnai Shinobu and company, taking him away in a huff as Zashiki-Warashi and Yuki-Onna can only wave back. In the night, a couple, Iruka and Tokime, is spending their night together when they come upon Index in the path, smiling. In another scene, Objective Alice sees the "film" of dress showing Touma talking to her.

Back in the world of Toaru Majutsu no Index, ITEM is enjoying their free time in a private pool. While Mugino is lounging, Mikoto arrives and covers her light with a disdainful look on her face. In a non-descript abandoned location, Touma pleads to Stiyl, Kanzaki, and Motoharu of Necessarius. Meanwhile, Mikoto hitches a ride with Kuroko, teleporting above the vast ocean, when they land before GREMLIN, Marian Slingeneyer, Thor, and Othinus, puzzling them.

Waltraute meanwhile is relaxing with Jack, when Index arrives, pleading for her. Seeing her plight, she takes Index and Jack and flies out of the domain. Back with Touma, who is in a suit, sees a light above, which is from Waltraute. It lands somewhere in Tokyo, and it shows Waltraute, Jack, and Index already in formal attire. Now the representatives of their respective series line up as the curtain draws open. And Touma smiles as a bright white light and the cheering of the masses engulf them.

Meanwhile, after all the commotion, a half-naked girl named Aika, calls out to his obviously non-related brother, Kyousuke, saying that he was called upon too. Kyousuke turns and says that they are late, and the video ends with the White Queen smiling with a knowing look on her face.

Trivia

• The fight between Accelerator and Touma shown in the beginning closely resembles that of their battle in the 14th episode of Toaru Majutsu no Index.
• A couple of the Heavy Object characters featured in this video would later have different seiyuu in their own anime adaptation. Here, Quenser is voiced by Abe Atsuhi (Touma's seiyuu), Milinda is voiced by Yuka Iguchi (Index's seiyuu), and Froleytia is voiced by Shizuka Itou (Kanzaki's seiyuu), who would later reprise the role for the anime.
• The assault rifle used by Heivia Winchell appears to resemble an AR-15 variant, likely derived from an LR-300 ML model without a Front Sight Base.
• Heavy Object's Baby Magnum and Water Strider Objects make their animated debut here.
• The Tokyo skyline shown at the end is just that of Academy City's except with new and colorful buildings in the foreground.
