Kongou Mitsuko
(婚后 光子 Kongou Mitsuko ?)is a character from the anime series Toaru Kagaku no Railgun.
Profile
Kongou Mitsuko is a second-year transferee to Tokiwadai Academy. She has long black hair with bangs distributed to either side of her face and is always seen to hold a fan.
Her ability is classified as Aero Hand (空力使い (エアロハンド) Wind Power User (Aero Hand)?), a class of esper abilities governed by air or air control. Her Aero Hand ability is not shown in Railgun until the final episode where it is used against Telestina's MAR units, whenever she touches an object a powerful gust of wind allows her to propel that object . Her ability is categorized as a Level 4 ability.
In the novels, she first appeared in volume 8, but her character design was never shown until the anime aired. She first appears in the first episode of the Railgun anime where she is seen boasting her skills to Kuroko. Many of her appearances in the anime shows her being the brunt of many unfortunate circumstances, like getting her eyebrows drawn on.
Personality
She is proud of herself most of the time despite being newly transferred and possesses traits of a real ojou-sama, unlike Mikoto Misaka who is the complete opposite, because of this personality she is often at odds with Kuroko. She often embellishes the truth for her own convenience and will try to stretch the truth until she can no longer keep up the facade, this was shown in episode 13 of the Railgun anime where she lies to her friends that she can cook curry wherein fact she didn't know how. Despite this she is quite caring for her friends and is willing to help people in need, this is displayed in episode 23 of the Railgun anime where she helps Misaka after she was defeated by Telestina.
She also tends to warn her opponents by reminding them who she is.
Abilities
- Aero Hand: When Kongou touches an object a powerful gust of wind propels that object, the object may in turn be considered a projectile.
