Kurosaki Maon (黒崎真音?) (January 13th 1988 - February 16th 2023) was a Japanese singer and songwriter signed to NBCUniversal Entertainment Japan. She was notable for being the artist for many anime opening and ending themes including Toaru Majutsu no Index anime adaptation.
Agency Art One Entertainment announced on February 28th 2023 that Kurosaki Maon passed away suddenly on February 16th 2023 after a worsening of her chronic illness. Kurosaki underwent emergency surgery for epidural hematoma (bleeding between the skull and the membrane surrounding the brain) in September 2021, after collapsing during a live-streamed concert earlier that month.[1][2][3]
