Makigami Komaki (牧上 小牧 Makigami Komaki?) is a student of Tokiwadai Middle School as well as a member of Judgment and Shokuhou Misaki's Clique, who appears in Toaru Kagaku no Railgun: Astral Buddy.[1][2][3]
Assigned to Judgment's 3rd Branch Office in Tokiwadai, Komaki primarily handles training.[1]
Appearance[]
Komaki wears her hair in pigtails and wears the standard Tokiwadai uniform.[1] She has light brown hair and yellowish brown eyes.[4]
Personality[]
Komaki has a tendency to try to reprimand Kuroko when she responds to cases outside of her jurisdiction, though her efforts often have little to no effect.[1] Ironically, despite being part of the training team of Judgment, she has shown a lack of experience in actual combat based on her tendency to confront threats directly without any further planning.[5]

Just prior to the investigation into the "white shadow" at Tokiwadai Middle School, Komaki attempted to scold Shirai Kuroko for responding to cases outside her jurisdiction, to little effect.[1] She was later present when Hokaze Junko visited the 3rd Branch Office to investigate the identity of a certain girl and after a short argument with Kuroko, she was tasked with investigated the picture that Junko had brought.[3]
When Yumiya Iruka and her accomplice attempted to abduct Shokuhou Misaki, Komaki tried to thwart them but was defeated by the accomplice.[5] She was later found by the members of Shokuhou Misaki's Clique and taken to the hospital by ambulance.[6]
In Heaven Canceller's Hospital, she and Kuroko discuss the possibility that someone was masterminding the recent incidents. Kuroko forbids her from investigating, telling her she needs to focus on getting better.[7]

Abilities[]
Given her position as a student of Tokiwadai Middle School, Komaki's esper ability can be presumed to be either Level 3 or 4.[1] Her ability involves optical control, mainly the ability to make herself and any desired object invisible to the naked eye. One weakness of her ability is that any sound she produces can give away her position. In combat, she uses a naginata as a weapon against enemies, and also scatters audio devices to further confuse threats and compensate for her ability's weakness.[5][Notes 1]
As part of Judgment, she also uses Judgment-issued instruments like the Cuffs Grenades (
