Nenohi Wakana (子日和奏 Nenohi Wakana?)[2] is a student of Tokiwadai Middle School, who has infiltrated Shokuhou Misaki's clique.[3][4][5][6]
Appearance[]
Wakana has dark hair, with an exposed forehead. As a Tokiwadai student, she wears the school's uniform. She wears a monocle-shaped HMD when using a Homing Camera.[3]

She has confidence and belief in her own abilities,[3][5] though she recognizes that she is not protagonist material. While she dislikes that the role she plays is one behind the scenes, she believes it is one she does well.[5]
Although she has confidence in her undercover work,[3] she has displayed panic and fluster during certain dangerous or unexpected situations.[3][4][5]
Background[]
During an outing in her childhood, Wakana found a stone that shined like a gem, and having a tendency to find such things, her young mind was convinced that she had a special talent. However, she was overshadowed by a girl in her group who found a fossilized dinosaur egg of an undiscovered species, someone she recognized as having real talent and on another level to her. The realization that she was not protagonist material led her to stay behind the scenes as a side character, something she disliked but a role she believed she did well in.[5]
She is part of Tokiwadai's Newspaper Club.[7]

Ten days prior to Gaouin Tsukasa's election challenge to Shokuhou Misaki, the spy from the Kokuchou Clique had been sent to infiltrate the Shokuhou Clique and had joined as a new member.[3][7] On the day Gaouin issued her challenge, she began her report, tailing Shokuhou and collecting data on her and her subordinates, witnessing Shokuhou's encounters with members of a group represented by two squares in the process.[3]
Later, she was trailing Shokuhou as she and Gaouin were looking for evidence to exonerate Hokaze of wrongdoing, and was caught up in the other election candidates' joint attack against them.[4] When forced into the open by the water balls, she bluffed that she was there to help them.[5]
Abilities[]
Nenohi Wakana's esper ability is currently unknown, but her ability apparently allows her to store noises such as footstep and clattering sound.[5] As a student of Tokiwadai Middle School, it can be presumed to be at Level 3 or 4.
She has also a degree of investigative skill.[3][5] She has access to a "Seven Tools" (
