Odense (オーデンセ Ōdense?) is a notable city in Denmark. It is located on the island of Funen, the same island where Egeskov Castle is also located. It is also where Kamijou Touma and Othinus were confronted by Silvia and Brunhild Eiktobel while they are on their way to retrieve Othinus's eye.

Background[edit | edit source]

Odense is one of Denmark’s leading spots for tourism which include the railway museum and King's Garden (Odense), a large park located between the theater and station and former home to the novelist Hans Christian Andersen. It's much larger and livelier than other cities in Denmark with a number of church steeples and similar structures, making it look like a conifer forest silhouette made in stone. Othinus tells Touma Egeskov Castle is only twenty kilometers way as they pass through the city.[1]

Ollerus appears to save his old enemy.

Touma and Othinus arrives in the city after hitchhiking with some tourists. As they make their way through the city they find themselves confronted by Silvia and Brunhild Eiktobel, the former seeking vengeance on Othinus for what had happened to Ollerus after being hit with the Turn into a fairy spell. Ollerus however is still alive and present there, but according to Silvia, is unable to show himself as he was not in the shape to do so, describing what had happened to him as a horrific scene. The latter, Brunhild, meanwhile claims not to be aligned with Slivia's personal grudge, but challenges Othinus for endangering to Ceillier Flatley with her plans.[1]

Silvia unleashes her full strength and fury upon Touma who does not even have the ability to even react to the maid's phenomenal speed as she beats his body mercilessly before deciding to disembowel him before Othinus.[2]

Meanwhile, Brunhild readies herself to execute the former Magic God, but before she can act, Silvia throws Touma's body over to them, saying that she does not want Othinus to die until she has taken the one precious thing from her. As both of them prepare to finish their plans separately Ollerus appears to stop both Saints. Despite now having the power of less than that of an average magician, he is able to overcome this through sheer force of will, making both Saints to collide with one another and knocking them unconscious at the cost of his arms. Othinus then asks him if he was there to kill her as well, to which he denies and comments he merely wishes to prevent the monster that either she or Touma would become after the other's death. He then parts to take both Saints so he could try and persuade them when they awake. As he departs he asks Othinus if she found what she was looking for to which she only says that Ollerus was not the one to understand her and Touma was stronger than him.[3]
