Robert William Felkin (ロバート=ウィリアム=フェルキン Robāto Wiriamu Ferukin?) is a posthumous character introduced in Shinyaku Toaru Majutsu no Index.[1]

Appearance[]

When reproduced, Felkin wears a black cloak and a pure white suit.[2]

Personality[]

Felkin's personality is largely unknown.

Background[]

At some point after his death, Robert William Felkin was reproduced along with other members of the Golden Dawn by Coronzon, through the application of Tarot-based grimoires, as part of her anti-Crowley countermeasures.[3][4]

Chronology[]

Aleister Crowley Arc[]

Main article: Aleister Crowley Arc

When Kamijou Touma was being shown a recreation of Aleister Crowley's past in the Windowless Building, Robert William Felkin's name was brought up during the downfall of Golden Dawn.[5]

Coronzon Arc[]

Main article: Coronzon Arc

During the Crowley's Hazard invasion of the United Kingdom, Felkin was among the reproduced members of the Golden Dawn who confronted Aleister Crowley in the graveyard of Westminster Abbey.[6][7][1]

When the Golden Dawn pursued the British Royal Family on the roads between London and Edinburgh, Felkin acted as the Praemonstrator in their collective high-speed ceremony.[8] When Kamijou Touma joined the battle and faced Mathers, Felkin and John William Brodie-Innes were distracted by his ploy and collided with each other, taking them out of the fight.[2]

While he, Gardner and Brodie-Innes were catching up to rejoin the battle, Aleister managed to disrupt the flow of power to the reproductions' grimoire bodies, causing them to come apart and revert to cards.[9]

Abilities[]

According to Aleister Crowley, looking over footage of the reproduced Felkin, the items resembling Tarot cards which Felkin possesses and which fly around him are Tattva-based mind immersion spiritual items - perhaps meant to drag other people's minds into the bog rather than increasing his own mental state. Aleister suspected that once the target's astral body was removed, the group would work together to attack the defenseless physical body.[1]

Trivia[]

  • Robert William Felkin was a member of the Golden Dawn. Initially affiliated with Waite's faction during the early stages of the organization's splintering, he split away during a schism, co-founding and leading the successor organization Stella Matutina.
