Satsuki Mahiru (五月真緋琉 Satsuki Mahiru?)[2] is a student of Tokiwadai Middle School who appears in Toaru Kagaku no Railgun. She was a member of the Hasekura Clique, as a first year student one year before the main story.[1]
Appearance[]
Satsuki has short/medium-length hair and wears glasses. As a student of Tokiwadai, she wears the school's uniform.[3][4]
Personality[]
She is usually a quiet girl, but in front of seniors whom she respects, she tends to rush recklessly to show off her good aspects. She envies her classmate, Asuwara Yui, being tall and good looking.[1][3][4]
Background[]
Satsuki's background is largely unknown, aside from the fact she was in her first year at Tokiwadai one year before the main story,[1] and had likely joined the Hasekura Clique prior to the clique conflict that year.[3][4] Before entering Tokiwadai, she went to the same elementary school as Asahara Yui.[1] She had not learned of Shin'enkouji Rurikakesu's position in Judgment prior to the Montgolfier raid.[5]

Railgun Past Arc[]

Satsuki was with Amano Ayane's group when they unexpectedly ran into and used their abilities against Urui Aika, witnessing Mikoto's interference and her Railgun's in-action debut.[3][4]
She was later present during the clique's meeting to discuss findings on the attacking culprit and the subsequent raid on Montgolfier.[5]
In October, she was present during the theatre fire incident.[6][7]
Abilities[]
Satsuki's unnamed Level 3 ability allows her to extract and manipulate silicon in her surroundings, such as in glass and asphalt.[1] She was capable of producing and propelling chunks of material from the ground near her,[3][4] as well as shattering a nearby window.[5]
