Shadow is the Light is the opening theme of the Toaru Kagaku no Accelerator anime adaptation. It was introduced in the first episode of the anime. It is the first opening theme for the Toaru series performed by THE SIXTH LIE. It was composed by Reiji, written by Ray, and arranged by Reiji and Tsuyoshi Sato. The official English version of the song was released on October 3rd 2022.

- The scene where Amai Ao shoots Accelerator in the head back in episode 20 of Toaru Majutsu no Index is briefly seen in the opening.
- By episode 04, the Scavengers would replace the DA members confronting Accelerator just prior to the chorus. It would also remove Esther's mask and add Hitokawa Hasami.
- By episode 07, the Coffins would replace the Scavengers confronting Accelerator just prior to the chorus.
- By episode 10, Hishigata Hirumi (Taowu) would replace the Coffins confronting Accelerator just prior to the chorus.
