Trivia
Referbacks
- Coronzon refers to her previous plan and missed opportunity to toy with Academy City using its Board Chairman's corpse.[1][2]
- Orsola Aquinas and Kanzaki Kaori both regret and refer to the events of the previous volume, with the former having made the mistake of using the Divine Mixture Isis-Demeter and the latter having killed Crowley's Hazards despite them being people (while under the influence of the Qliphah Puzzle 545).[3][4]
- Aneri's nature as a downsized version of the Reading Thoth 78 (and Mina Mathers) is referenced, along with her role in the Dragon Rider and the Processor Suit incidents.[5][6][2][7]
- Coronzon's claim of possessing Aleister's daughter Lola are referred to, though with their veracity in doubt.[8][2]
- Shokuhou Misaki is reminded of her encounter with a miniature robotic version of herself when seeing Othinus.[9][10]
Cultural References
- The magical attack on Dion Fortune by Mina Mathers in the form of cats, is derived from allegations made by the real-life Dion Fortune against Moina Mathers when the two came into conflict and the latter expelled the former from the Alpha et Omega.[5]
- Touma calls Mathers a Coelacanth, a fish long considered to be a "living fossil".[11]
- The incident where a fraudster posed as Anna Sprengel is an event which occurred both in the Toaru series and in real life.[12] In real life, Swami Laura Horos managed to briefly convince Mathers that she was Anna Sprengel and stole Golden Dawn material which she used in a scam, for which she was arrested. This event was another factor in the Golden Dawn's collapse.
- The other name mentioned alongside Belzébuth with regards to the Madame Horos incident, is derived from syncretism of Greek monster Typhon and Egyptian god Set.[12]
Unanswered Questions
- Are Coronzon's claims of possessing Aleister's second daughter Lola genuine?[8]
- What role does the Madame Horos incident play in these events?[12]
