The god of poverty who had grown to a hellish size is a reference to "God of Poverty" (貧乏神,Binbōgami?) in "Momotaro Dentetsu" (桃太郎電鉄,Momotarō Dentetsu?, Momotarō Electric Railway), a Japanese long-running board game-style video game series.[3]
Kumokawa hailed a taxi by shaking quick wave of her phone.[3] It is a reference to taxi application "FURUKURU" (フルクル). As the name suggests, with Furu(Shake) Kuru(Come), just shake your phone, and get a taxi near you. Since the taxis in the 500 meters receive the signal, no booking charges are required.[4]
Kamijou mentioned that a certain country developed an incapacitating weapon where they launched a grenade full of LSD into enemy territory.[3] It is a reference to psychochemical warfare, the use of psychopharmacological agents with the intention of incapacitating an adversary through the temporary induction of hallucinations or delirium. In the 1950s, Britain was investigating the possible use of LSD and the chemical BZ (3-Quinuclidinyl benzilate) as nonlethal battlefield drug-weapons.
