Trivia[]
This section requires expansion [8] |
- Given the context of the chapter, it is highly likely that HsB-AD-CVA01 is Fugaku's official designation code.
- As seen with previous designations, the Hs stands for Hard Science.
- The HsB designation has previously been used to refer to bombers (Hard Science Bombers). However, given that the Fugaku is a seaborne aircraft cruiser rather than an airborne bomber, the B might be a hull classification symbols (retired in real life) for battleship.
- Similarly, in terms of hull classification symbols, AD is a designation for destroyer tender and CVA is a retired designation for an attack aircraft carrier.

- When Touma knocks out the newer Aradia with a blow to the head, Aradia refers to her similar firsthand experience in Shibuya on December 31st.[9]
Cultural References[]
- CVA-01 was the code for a proposed United Kingdom aircraft carrier, intended to be the first of a class meant to replace the Royal Navy's existing carriers (most designed pre/mid-WW2), designed but cancelled during the 1960s.
- The phoenix is a legendary immortal bird which burns its body and is regenerated or reborn from the flames or ashes in a cyclic renewal. First attributed to ancient Egypt (and Heliopolis) by the ancient Greek writer Herodotus in the 5th century BCE. but suspected not to actually have been a part of Egyptian mythology (noted by Kamachi Kazuma in the volume's afterword, but also noted to be fitting given the nature of the Transcendents) and originated in Greek folklore, the phoenix has analogues in various other cultures.[3][5][10][11]
Unanswered Questions[]
