- Although almost next to no information is revealed about them, the newly identified Transcendents Vidhat(h)ri and Blodeuwedd are based on figures in Hindu and Welsh Celtic mythology.
- The Sanskrit Vidhātṛ, transliterated into Vidhatr or Vidhatri, refers to several things, including that of a/the creator, a name for Brahma, while Vidhathri refers to Brahma's consort Saraswati.[3]
- Blodeuwedd (meaning "Flower-Faced" in Welsh, from blodau ("flowers") and gwedd ("face")) is a woman who is central in Math fab Mathonwy, the last of the Four Branches of the Mabinogi. Made by the magicians Math and Gwydion from flowers of broom, meadowsweet and oak, to be the wife of Lleu Llaw Gyffes, who had been cursed by his mother Arianrhod to never have a human wife. While Lleu was away, she had an affair with Gronw Pebr and plotted her husband's murder with him, tricking Lleu into revealing how he might be killed, as he couldn't be killed normally. After the murder attempt failed and Lleu had recovered with help from Math and Gwydion, she was turned into an owl by Gwydion.
