- As Touma is prepared to face mutual destruction in unleashing the dragon's power and facing further bleeding from wounds incurred from the Pneuma-less Shells, two tales (both mentioned in the Prose Edda) concerning the World Serpent Jormungand from Norse mythology are mentioned; its mutual destruction against Thor during the final battle of Ragnarok, and the time when Thor had failed to lift its weight (under the illusion of lifting a kitten's paw, during the tasks set by Utgard-Loki), with CRC wondering if he had used weight to forcibly close his own wounds and stanch his bleeding.[4]
