- Touma and Coronzon both recall her previous use of Magick:Flaming_Sword against him, which overcame Imagine Breaker and brought him to the brink of death,[9][1][3] as she uses the technique again.[1][3]
- After Coronzon catches her Railgun barehandedly,[7] Mikoto remarks she had seen a few people send it back with reflection, gravity, or other "cheap" abilities, but never thought she'd see one catch it with just brute strength, before remembering how the Magic Gods could do it.[7] This refers to several past events:
- During the events surrounding the Level 6 Shift Project, Mikoto attacked Accelerator after seeing him kill Misaka 9982, only for her Railgun to be reflected back.[10]
- During events surrounding the Jailbreak Trial, Wanigawa Raifu redirected a Railgun shot back at her using her Gravity Sling.[11]
- On December 3rd, while accompanying Kamijou Touma as he fled from the High Priest, Mikoto fired a Railgun at the Magic God only for him to casually deflect it with a wave of his arm.[12]

- After remotely counterattacking and incapacitating Accelerator after he attempted to strike her with lightning,[1][2][3][4] Coronzon stated that if he could attack her from his position then she could attack him from her position,[1][3] adding that the ability to attack anywhere in the city from one point also meant that one point could be attacked from anywhere in the city, comparing it to the rules regarding gazing into the Abyss.[3] Magic and demons aside, there is a famous quote about gazing into the abyss given in Friedrich Nietzsche's book Jenseits von Gut und Böse (Beyond Good and Evil); "He who fights with monsters should be careful lest he thereby become a monster. And if thou gaze long into an abyss, the abyss will also gaze into thee."[13]
