Soyogo Kato (冬青科斗, Soyogo Kato^?) is a student of Tokiwadai Middle School who appears in Toaru Kagaku no Railgun. She was a member of the Hasekura Clique, as a second year student one year before the main story.

Appearance

Soyogo is a girl with short/medium-length hair, parted on her top-right side with two tufts on either side curling to her right. As a student of Tokiwadai, she wears the school's uniform.

Personality

Soyogo is a little hot-blooded, but those around her are even more belligerent than she is, so she is unwillingly forced to play the role of an appeaser.

Background

Soyogo was in her second year at Tokiwadai one year before the main story, and had joined the Hasekura Clique prior to the clique conflict that year. Under the direction of Asato Kisa, she was responsible for planning operations and served as a messenger. She had not learned of Shin'enkouji Rurikakesu's position in Judgment prior to the Montgolfier raid.

Railgun Past Arc

She was present during the initial group confrontation between the Mikagami and Hasekura cliques after the attack on Kazan'in Tsukasa, alongside Asato Kisa.

She was with Amano Ayane's group when they unexpectedly ran into and used their abilities against Urui Aika, witnessing Mikoto's interference and her Railgun's in-action debut.

She was also present when girls from the clique were discussing rumors that Shokuhou was cooperating with Hasekura. She was later present during the clique's meeting to discuss findings on the attacking culprit and the subsequent raid on Montgolfier.

In October, she was present during the theatre fire incident. Much later, during the third year's graduation, she took a picture by using her ability on a phone in the graduation ceremony with her senpai, Amano Ayane and Yasutoba Suika.

Abilities

Soyogo's Level 3 ability is Psychokinesis (念動能力（サイコキネシス）, Nendō Nōryoku (Saikokineshisu)^?), with both seen uses involving her hands. She was able to leviatate a mobile phone to take a photograph with her friends, as well as holding Urui Aika in place in mid-air as Mikoto was trying to discretely pull her away using a magnetized drain cover.
