The reductionist "It's just a flag" take can also be applied in reverse, it's just a flag that at the end of the day is not relevant to Gunha's personality or character and is just an aesthetic choice, hence why it can be removed with no problems at all. "Censorship bad" would move me as an argument if it actually affected the story itself, but it doesn't so I'm not.
