Thailand (タイ王国 Tai Ōkoku?), officially the Kingdom of Thailand, is a country located at the center of Southeast Asia. Thailand shares borders with seven countries; Myanmar and Laos to the north Cambodia to the east, Malaysia to the south, Vietnam to the southeast, and Indonesia and India to the southwest.

On the Second Friday of October, Misaka 12083 was one of the Sisters sent to Gemstone Mining research organizations around the world. She was sent to Chiang Mai, Thailand, at the OOPArt History Archives, to destroy the facilities and rescue the gemstone there. During her periodic progress report, she had claimed that she could handle it on her own.[1]
