    Happy New Year, Ollerus.

      Loading editor
    • Thanks. Happy New Year to you too, Inept.

    • Just so you know, I've started a new joint discussion thread in addition to the individual talk threads. I've also posted a number of tasks there which I need help with. If it isn't inconvenient or troublesome, could you lend me a hand, Ollerus?

        Loading editor
    • As you saw earlier, that little subject which you worked on a couple of months ago was revisited.

Regarding matters in the joint discussion thread, Ollerus, do you have any thoughts regarding the subject of a new Featured Article for the beginning of Railgun T?

        Loading editor
    • I'd like to suggest Daihaseisai for the new Featured Article.

        Loading editor
    • Two votes for the Daihaseisai so far. In this case, I think it would be an idea to review the information available on the subject to see if we are missing anything and to get the article ready for featuring. I'll assign SD58 to the task. Could you help me with this, Ollerus?

        Loading editor
    • Sure.

I think that article need some more pictures.

        Loading editor
    • Thanks, Ollerus.

First of all, let's gather what we've already got. I've added several galleries for accumulating existing images on Shared Draft 58. I've also made some preliminary sections for accumulating our notes. I'm planning to run a quick search to locate volume mentions outside of the primary volumes.

Which area do you wish to focus on first, Ollerus?

        Loading editor
    • I'd like to focus on "Known Events" and add images from manga/anime to describe the athletic events.

        Loading editor
    • Righto. How would you prefer we handle the assembly of the images connected to the Daihaseisai which are already on the wiki? Should we have one person assembling the existing images while the other one looks for information and new image candidates, or should we both work on the existing image assembly at the same time?

      Edit: Understood.

    • I've added rough notes regarding the current state of the article as well as unsorted notes from the non-OT9/10 Index stories. I've also added the barebones for the framework of an overhaul draft. At the time of writing, the following sections on SD58 are empty; Unsorted Notes (Index) - OT9/OT10, Unsorted Notes (Railgun), Images - Index (Manga), Images - Railgun (Manga), and Other.

    • I got severe cold, so I could not focus on SD58 and general wiki edit stuff. Beside this, here are new information that revealed in Railgun T Episode 1 Premiere event the day before yesterday.

      • Railgun T episode 1 adapted Railgun ch43.
      • Yobou Banka got his VA. (name is not revealed yet)
      • Accelerator Vector Reflection SFX has been reverted back to the original one.
      • Souyaku Toaru Majutsu no Index vol.1 will be released on February 7th 2020.
        Loading editor
    • Hope you feel better soon, Ollerus. I've been experiencing computer problems, so I'm currently operating on my more limited unit.

Thanks for bringing up the information. As we anticipated, Chapter 43 for Episode 1. Regarding the last point, given the one month mark, I expect that we'll be getting a few synopsis bits for Souyaku V1 soon.

    • With the updates to the Daihaseisai article, I was wondering whether we should leave the events in the long bullet-point list for specific image placement or transfer them to a collapsible table (e.g. Name/Type/(Details/Notes)) with a slideshow nearby. What do you reckon, Ollerus?

        Loading editor
    • I think that the collapsible table is better to show the atheletic events.
      (e.g. (Name/anime image)/type/(details/notes))
      PS. Feel better than yesterday.

        Loading editor
    • Good to hear, Ollerus.

With regards to current stuff on SD58, we've got the rough structure of the current article in a bullet point format for quick reviewing purposes. Some of the references outside of OT9/OT10 have been assembled in a list, with associated info attached. Railgun chapters with info to be checked have also been listed from a quick search, though the associated info has not been attached yet. Most of the event images have been assembled, thanks to you.

I'm planning to do a quick look through OT9/10 and Railgun V8 to verify the primary reference locations and check to see if anything has been missed. While we will doing some rewriting to the event list, I think it would be an idea to use a copy of the current version for table experiments.

Do you have any thoughts on restructuring?

        Loading editor
    • Ollerus, I had a thought about something I might have overlooked before. Are you able to compare the raw/TL versions for OT9/10 at the moment?

        Loading editor
    • I can do that. What part of OT9/10 do you want to compare?

        Loading editor
    • I haven't isolated the specific parts yet, but I noticed a discrepancy at one of the non-festival-related bits while browsing through the two translations, so I thought it would be an idea to double-check the festival bits once we've got them listed, since the OT9/10 BT-TL was one of the older ones.

I've made a rough list of chapter parts with infos on SD58, but I haven't added bullet-points for the info like with the non-OT9/10.

If it is OK, could you give me a hand with gathering the OT9/OT10/R-V8 rough notes?

P.S. How does the table experiment look to you?

        Loading editor
    • I've identified one of the discrepancies - the incidents mentioned in OT9-BTL1.

        Loading editor
    • “Hm, compared to the unsolved cases where an AI denies the theory that an unmanned helicopter was shot down, or the unsolved case of the arena where the cultural and spiritual activists exploded, this is a whole lot better.”

Are you looking for this part?

        Loading editor
    • That and the bit before it, yes.

    • Looks like the BT-TL was in error.

The Toaru Project site now has a page for the Daihaseisai - I've put a link in the initial notes section on Shared Draft 58 for checking later to see if there are any bits we don't already know.

Edit (12/01/2020): Stuck with computer problems. Don't know when they'll be resolved.

Edit (14/01/2020): Problems resolved for now.

Edit (15/01/2020): Carrying out catch-up operations. Hope to be done soon and resume work on SD58.

    • Ollerus, I know this is not really connected to the Daihaseisai, but could you check the Helios temple bit?

Also, does the table experiment on SD58 look OK?

        Loading editor
    • The table experiment on SD 58 looks great to me. Railgun T episode 2 airs tonight, then we can add more pictures for the table. By the way, what is the Helios temple?

        Loading editor
    • Astrology-related potential discrepancy - OT10, I think.

        Loading editor
    • 多神教のギリシアで『軍神の神殿』や『守護神の神殿』などがそれぞれ分けて建てられたのが良い例だろう。

        Loading editor
    • An example would be the multi-religions Greeks, who established their Ares Temple and Helios Temple. (OT10Ch7Pt5)

The specific temple name is not written in the raw version of OT10. The Greek god of war can be either Ares or Athena. The Greek has deities guarded specific places. For instance, Athena was the patron goddess of the city of Athens. Helios is not a patron god, but god of the Sun.
      軍神 means war deity.
守護神 means patron god/goddess or tutelary deity

    • Thought so.

Going to have to break off for a little bit due to some RL stuff. Hopefully won't be too long.

P.S. Should we make a note regarding flags in the overhaul?

        Loading editor
    • Flags? They're school emblems and Daihaseisai logo banner.

        Loading editor
    • I haven't fully checked yet, but there is a possibility that there might be a difference in flags in certain areas between media. In the Railgun T anime/website, school emblems and logos are used. R-V7/10 on the other hand have national flags in at least one panel.

    • I've just been doing a considerable sweep through the recent images, adding missing categories and licensing/summary TSPs. While most of it is done, I've run out of time for tonight and I won't be able to continue overall work until Monday afternoon.

If it is OK Ollerus, could you check the recent images from Railgun T Episodes 1 & 2 which have been used as character infobox images and make sure that they've been categorized as Profile Pictures?

Also, we will probably need to go through the pages where Ep1/2 images have been added and check the captions - I spotted a number of them earlier with considerable grammatical errors.

        Loading editor
    • Gokusai Kaibi's anime (Railgun T) image is now catergorized as Profile Pictures.

        Loading editor
    • Thanks for checking them out, Ollerus.

Just checking to be certain, would you say that all of the remaining placeholder (?) images in the SD58 experimental table next to events which don't have images? Also, shall we continue with arc-based structure for Chronology rather than time-based?

        Loading editor

    • Thanks, Ollerus.

What are your thoughts regarding the two questions before the source link question?

        Loading editor
      • Some of the events are merely referenced in LN/manga/anime without specific image, so it is inevitable for certain event to remain placeholder images.
      • I thought that arc-based structure for Chronology is better.
        Loading editor
      • So all of the events with placeholder images at the moment are definitely the ones for which images are not available (i.e. we haven't missed images for any events which have images)?
      • Agreed. We'll continue with that for this.

Edit (28/01/2020): A significant offline problem has cropped up. My wiki activity will likely be minimal for a few days.

      Sure.

P.S. Do you think Astral Buddy and Dark Matter manga need own arc article? If so, what do you reckon?

        Loading editor
    • Astral Buddy might be getting to that point (if I recall correctly, there have been a few articles which have used the header 'Astral Buddy Arc' before).

I was considering the possibility of it being one of several different timetables (given the timing of certain events both on and off the schedule).

        Loading editor
    • Same. I think that timetable in Touma's cellphone is one of several timetable. Since a lot of schools participated in Daihaseisai, not every athletic event mentioned during series does not correspond to Touma's school.

I also saw several article that have used Astral Buddy Arc header. Do you think that is the right arc name for the story arc? If I recall correctly, there isn't official arc name for the first arc of Astral Buddy. Beside this, Yuzuriha Ringo arc is good for Dark Matter manga arc name.

Hmm, while the Night Parade's time matches for both of them, the Opening Ceremony ends at 10.30 and the Lunch Break lasts two hours in the novel's text.

      Edit (07/05/2020): Started new thread.

    • Hmm, I think some events such as Warm-up Exercise and Parade are concurrent event with Opening Ceremony. Others maybe skipped Opening Ceremony. It is headcanon anyway.
