- One day before her initial election challenge to Shokuhou Misaki, Gaouin Tsukasa observes Misaka Mikoto down after her Gekota keyring was blown away during a dispute between two girls trying to acquire her vote for the election the previous day. After a failed attempt by Kamino clique members to trick and curry Mikoto's favour with a knockoff, Gaouin manages to find and return Mikoto's keyring to her.
- In the present, Kouzaku Mitori infiltrates a facility, only to find the people inside knocked out. She is then greeted through a cube-like object by an individual who claims to be the former first-ranked Level 5.
