• When observing the freezing phenomena caused by Synthesize Grid, Shokuhou briefly considers the possibility of a water ability utilizing the Peltier effect. The Peltier effect (named after Jean Charles Athanase Peltier, the French physicist who discovered it in 1834) is a type of thermoelectric effect which occurs when an electric current passes through the circuit of a thermocouple, with heat being generated at one junction and absorbed at the other. The Peltier effect is the presence of heating or cooling at an electrified junction of two different conductors, and is utilized in thermoelectric heat pumps and thermoelectric cooling devices.
