Trivia

• The transformation that Shokuhou seems to begin to undergo at the end of the chapter, when in contact with the Relic, is reminiscent of the one she underwent in the non-canon parody story Ace Misaka Mikoto vs Queen Shokuhou Misaki!!, a result of absorbing Fuse Kazakiri using a combination of Exterior and strategic manipulation of the city's espers.

• Absolute Leaf, the name which the second Relic used to differentiate their power from the first (even though both used Synthesize Grid), is revealed to have been an initial name suggestion by an observing scientist just before Aleister himself dubbed the previous #1's ability Synthesize Grid.
• Shokuhou refers to roping Yuiitsu into her plan as having her pay for the trouble she had caused in Tokiwadai. As well as her battle with the dorm manager which involved at least one hostage and the destruction of the school's clock tower, this might also refer to the prospect of the school's destruction based on Yuiitsu's investigation, which was mentioned in their previous conversation the two had not long before the events depicted in this flashback, with Yuiitsu intending for Shokuhou to play a role in a forcible evacuation, one Shokuhou rejected.

• An annoyed Yuiitsu calls Shokuhou "Holstein" as an insult. Holstein (ホルスタイン, Horusutain^?) or Holstein Friesian is a dominant breed of dairy cattle.

• What is the "original motive" behind the Previous Generation's rebellion?
• What were the exact circumstances around the attack on Aleister that left his tank and chamber damaged?
• Is the scientist in the Previous Generation's memories a younger Unabara? If so, did this past involvement affect her plans in the present?
