Discovery (看破 Kanpa?) is the 120th chapter of the Toaru Kagaku no Railgun manga series, released on November 27th 2019 in Monthly Comic Dengeki Daioh.
Synopsis[]
Honoka's death
With the targets at close range, the Spriggan deployed restraining cords to hold Kimi and Raifu in place. Honoka ran off to an open area where she was quickly spotted by armed guards and was shot to death. The sight of Honoka lifeless on the floor caused Raifu to unleash her ability on the Spriggan. Meanwhile, Tsurigane made her move, quickly dispatching the scientists and leaving the armed guards without further instructions.
The girls look back at the burning lab.
Tsurigane, Raifu and Kimi left behind the facility a burning wreck. Despite losing Honoka, Kimi did not feel anything about her death. Instead, all she could remember was the last look on Honoka's face.
Back at the present, Kimi snaps out from her recollection and notices that the footage of Uiharu in the room is different from what she had arranged, noting that the guards have yet to change their positions. Uiharu then discovers that her cover is blown when the lights are turned off at the building she is located. Soon after, alerts of a girl of Uiharu's height are spread throughout the facility, causing Saten to formulate a plan to help her escape. But, to her surprise, she is not authorized to help in the search operation due to the uniform she is wearing. Instead, she is assigned to a group that will anticipate Uiharu using an emergency chute to escape.

- Honoka was shot to death while trying to escape. Kimi, Tsurigane and Raifu destroyed the lab and escaped.
- In the present, Kimi realizes that Uiharu has escaped and cuts power to the building she is in. Guards gather at the likely escape route, with the disguised and alarmed Saten nearby.
