Pride (矜持 Kyōji?) is the 125th chapter of the Toaru Kagaku no Railgun manga series, released on June 27th 2020 in Monthly Comic Dengeki Daioh.
Synopsis[]
Inside the 2nd Juvenile Hall's medical room, Aohoshi talks about her past with Kimi and the others to Uiharu, who knew someone who had a similar experience. Although empathizing with their circumstances and still unable to forgive Kimi, Uiharu decides to put her Judgment duties in the forefront and asks for Aohoshi's help. Aohoshi reveals that another part of Kimi's story with Honoka involved their data in the Bank being switched by Aohoshi after Honoka's death, effectively making Kimi "Honoka" in official records so that she can be spared from scientists on the hunt to kill her for her powers. For this reason, altering her Bank data is the original reason for abducting Uiharu. Aohoshi then passes a flash drive with encrypted data Tsurigane stole from the laboratory long ago.
Kimi and Mikoto continue to exchange blows and words. During this time, Kimi is recalling the events leading to Honoka's death, and she slowly begins to speculate whether Honoka knew that there were armed guards about to shoot at them as soon as they would leave the staircase to their escape. Mikoto empathizes with Kimi about the fear of losing someone, but she continues with her attack, leading the electricity in the air to deliver a bolt of electricity across Kimi's chest.
To Mikoto's surprise, Kimi manages to stand up, showing the grotesque form of her right arm, seemingly taken over by the dragon's power.

- After telling Uiharu Kazari about Shundan Kimi's past, Aohoshi Suzuran agrees to assist her and gives her a memory stick with encrypted data which Tsurigane Saryou took from the lab.
- Misaka Mikoto continues her battle against Kimi while questioning her motivations. Using electrical breakdown in the air to guide the opposing currents, Mikoto manages to land a hit on Kimi with her electricity, but Kimi endures due to the progressing effects on her body due to the dragon.

- The "friend in a similar situation" mentioned by Uiharu is Haruue Erii. Erii originated from a Child Error orphanage and has a friend named Edasaki Banri who was taken to the Advanced Education Department, not knowing that she will be used as a test subject.
- Raifu being notable among the four friends to be concerned of Kimi's overuse of her dragon powers is again shown in a flashback.
- New context on the events leading to Honoka's death and the escape of Kimi, Tsurigane and Raifu are featured in this chapter.[1]
- The fear of seeing someone important die in front of them, something that Kimi experienced in Honoka, was similarly felt by Mikoto when Touma was overwhelmed by the power of her Level 5.3 incarnation.[2]
