Toaru Majutsu no Index: Road to Endymion (とある魔術の禁書目録 ―ロード トゥ エンデュミオン―Toaru Majutsu no Index: Road to Endymion?) is a light novel written by Kamachi Kazuma and illustrated by Haimura Kiyotaka. It is a bonus light novel given away to the first 103,000 attendees of Toaru Majutsu no Index Movie: Miracle of Endymion.[1]
The plot details Touma and Index's attempts to stop a magic cabal from causing destruction in the city prior to the events of the movie. The light novel's story is the same as the Magic Side Surface Story in Toaru Majutsu to Kagaku no Ensemble. Timeline-wise the novel occurs between Toaru Majutsu no Index Light Novel Volume 07 and Toaru Majutsu no Index Light Novel Volume 09.
Publisher's Summary
Daihaseisai is nearing Academy City. A young man, Kamijou Touma, and the Sister that completely memorized 103,000 grimoires, as usual, are enjoying their afterschool time.
However, Kamijou accidentally touches something that is of Necessarius, and the Church of Necessary Evil's Stiyl Magnus attacks Kamijou.
A magician has broken into Academy City, and that is the reason why Stiyl came, to eliminate the person.
A Magic Cabal that is based on Indian mythology, known as the "Gate of the Gods Come from the Heavens," were formed by magicians that abhors science.
The magic spell, "Agni's Festival Fire" was placed in Academy City with the aim of massive destruction. Stiyl and Kamijou go into action in order to track down, then they meet a brown in a sailor uniform with lots of exposure......?
When science and magic cross paths the story begins―!

Trivia
- Despite having Endymion in its name, the space elevator is not actually referred anywhere in the novel by name. This is because it is only named after the events of the novel, as shown in Toaru Majutsu to Kagaku no Ensemble.
