Curtana Original (カーテナ＝オリジナル Kātena Orijinaru?) is the thirteenth episode of the third season of the Toaru Majutsu no Index anime series. It was broadcast on December 29th 2018, and was directed by Morita Yuki, was storyboarded by Oohata Kiyotaka and Hatano Kohei, and the script written by Yoshino Hiroyuki.

Synopsis

The swords rips apart dimensions, and engulfs Britain in a sea of flames. Will the magicians succumb to such overwhelming power?

Differences in Adaptation

In the novel, Touma considers Carissa's attack as another exeption of Imagine Breaker because he couldn't completely negate it. This reminds him his memory loss and his lack of knowledge about Imagine Breaker, but also the "Dragon Breath" from the Deep Blood Arc that he couldn't explain.[3]
