Summary
October 18th.
Russia declared the beginning of the 3rd world war.
The conflict between Academy City and Russia will expand to the level where it will involve all other nations. The ones behind the scenes manipulating it all are the last member of ‘God’s Right Seat’ and the bearer of the "Holy Right", Fiamma, and the man who watches and plans in secrecy, unknown to the rest of the world, Aleister Crowley.
In the fires of the world war, there is a group of people that runs to and fro. A high school student of Academy City, Kamijou Touma, aiming to free an unconscious Index from the grasp of Fiamma after the incident of fighting over an artifact in England. The strongest esper, Accelerator, aiming to save Last Order, who’s in a critical condition after the mysterious appearance of the entity ‘Aiwass’. Originally a lackey for the group ITEM, Hamazura Shiage, aiming to save Takitsubo Rikou who is physically weakened after she overdosed herself on the ‘powder’ that boosted her abilities.
The three of them holding three different thoughts, three different paths that should never meet, converge in Russia. And what awaits them there is…
Vol.20 summary
It looks like academy city is waging a war against russia. touma with lessa goes on to stop the war. They are trying to confront fianmma. But fianmma attack them before they even make a make. His holy right can vaporize or destroy anything it touch. It teleport or rather it speed is god like. It just pop out in front of you. He has a 30-40 meters sword. Fianmma tried to chop them down but touma block it but it took time to erase all but still he erase it. Then accel trying to go to russia being attack by misaka worst. Accel tried to save her but it goes suicidal mode after being beaten or failed to accomplish its mission. The mission of misaka worst is to kill LO. Accel goes berserk because of this. Even if he tried sooooo hard. He still ended up not saving misaka worst. Then touma is accidentally passing by. And he didn't notice LO lying on the ground. That make Accel SOOO angry that he vent all his anger at touma ( the passers by ). He awaken and lunch huge debris attack and stakes him down but touma just evades it or just brush it. Then he unleash a 100 wings attack but touma just evade it and when he tried to erase it. He ended not erasing it at all. But he use it to his advantage then drag Accel down in front of his solid fist. After that they had a conversation about. Touma being the hero but not saving LO ( hello his just passing by ) then touma said if you want to save her then do it yourself. Stand strong and blah blah blah ( end point his like the revers of kamina that believe on me that believe on you but for touma. Believe in your SELF!!! Then he ease the pain of LO but still LO is unconscious due to overload. Fianmma had a fight with vent. And vent almost win because he realize the weakness of Fianmma being despite being soo strong he had a fatal flaw. But Fianmma uses index remote control to win ( cheater ) The france and england are also having a war. If you look at the illustration the two rulers are having and all out war. And misaka had seen touma in TV In one of the news about the up coming world war 3. In the news in the lower corner where usually a scene of the sight is being shown. Touma is been flashed their accidentally again.......... Misaka being calling him again and again but no answer made her believe that his still not in academy city yet. So she hacked the system and find out that their is an order to the hound dogs to go to russia to remind touma of which is his alliance belong with. But misaka knock them down and hijacks the jet plane and head straight for russia. And about hamazahura..... nothing much to say to him. They are being chased by helicopter but ended up save by aqua.
Another summary
Russia, being manipulated by Fianmma, declares war against academy city saying that their technology will lead the world to destruction. Either share what they've been studying or face consequences, and begin their attack. Academy city in response says that they can't sit idly when they have the power to stop the world from going into war, and start invading Russia (lol). Japanese government don't want Academy city to retaliate, but shuts up after Academy city shows them a clip of them shooting Russian missiles down, saying "we don't need to protect you, you know?"
Touma goes to Russia not to stop war but rather to save Index by destroying the index remote control carried by Fianmma.
Lessa is trying to seduce Touma to the best of her abilities.
The two goes and meet leader of country of Elizalina, which recently became independent from Russia. When they do, Fianmma strikes. Vent comes in as well as Sasha, but she is taken by Fianmma after the battle. Capturing Sasha was his real objective.
Accel is on the run from academy, and is attacked by Misaka Worst. He's hesitant to take her down in fear of killing her, because she reminds too much of LO. When MW threatens to kill LO (seeing how she's not doing much to Accel), he snaps, turns her into pile of meat. He goes psycho after this. This was Acdemy city's plan all along, to drive Accel into madness. Accel tries to rebuild MW(?), he somehow succeeds, and finds Touma passing by.
Touma left him a note after the fight telling Accel to go and find Index probably because he shattered a spell or whatever which was cast on LO.
Pope is back on his feet.
Mugino is also going to Russia to see Hamazura. lovely.
Kazagiri heads to Russia via angel mode after having a conversation with Aiwass.
Index goes berserk again, and Stail is trying to stop her.
