Toaru Majutsu no Virtual-On: Vooster’s Cup, The Day Before (とある魔術の電脳戦機 (バーチャロン) ブースターズ＊カップ　その前日, Toaru Majutsu no Den'nō Senki (Bācharon) Būsutāzu* Kappu sono Zenjitsu^?) is a short story for the Toaru Majutsu no Virtual-On video game, released on February 15th 2018, bundled in limited editions of the game known as Toaru Majutsu no Archive.

The story takes place prior to the start of the game's own story. It is the second story in the bundle featuring Touma, Index, and Ririn as the primary characters, the other one being the A Lovey-Dovey Date On the Eve of the Tournament!? bonus manga.

Synopsis

Touma and Index follow Furashina Ririn to a back-alley shop where she currently lives and asks the two of them to play tabletop games using Virtual-On figures with her. It ends with all three of them taking the roleplaying seriously and getting dirty, though actually having fun as Ririn's Vooster's Cup draws closer and closer.

Trivia

• Events of this short story happen the day before the events of the Toaru Majutsu no Virtual-On, and as such occur concurrently with Toaru Majutsu no Virtual-On: Misaka Mikoto's Dangerous Tea Party.
• When choosing the Virtual-On figures, Ririn chooses the Cypher Virtuaroid, citing how it "feels right" foreshadowing her usage of it in the game.
