Yasutoba Suika (安賭蜴吹禾, Yasutoba Suika^?) is a student of Tokiwadai Middle School who appears in Toaru Kagaku no Railgun. She was a member of the Hasekura Clique, one year before the main story.

Appearance

She has dark colored shoulder length hair, wears the Tokiwadai Middle School uniform, and is the tallest student in the school.

Personality

She has pugnacious behavior. Due to her asocial personality, she does not know how to have friends. She thinks that her middle school relationships will reset in half a year and she can have a fresh start in high school.

Background

She idolizes Hasekura, but she's also a troublemaker who often does things without her permission.

Railgun Past Arc

As tensions were rising between the Hasekura Clique and the Mikagami Clique, when Asato Kisa relayed orders to avoid conflict from Hasekura Reiri in Paris to other members of the clique, Yasutoba tried to persuade them to take action instead and on failing decided to act by herself, disobeying Hasekura's instructions.

Yasutoba subsequently ambushed Mikagami Nagisa as she was out walking with Kadosaka Rina and Sukezawa Sena. After the group escape the initial attack, she re-encountered and faced both Kadosaka and Sukezawa, who sought to spare their leader further trouble. She defeated them both, but Mikagami returned to protect them from further harm and turned the tables on Yasutoba. Yasutoba's attempts to rattle Mikagami were turned back on her and she was finished off by Mikagami's enlarged body slam.

When Hasekura returned to Tokiwadai after her demonstration in Paris, Yasutoba was still depressed over her failure and what had happened, though Hasekura soon cheered her up.

After Montgolfier was identified as the culprit behind the attacks that instigated and aggravated the clique conflict, an eager Yasutoba joined the rest of the Hasekura clique, with later reinforcements from the Mikagami and Sha cliques, for a raid on the company's headquarters, and was involved in the subsequent battle with Montgolfier's operatives and their prototype weapons.

Yasutoba graduated Tokiwadai at the start of the school's current year, alongside Hasekura. During the graduation ceremony, she had her picture taken alongside fellow graduate Amano Ayane and two other clique members.

She is a Level 3 esper who can freely change the pivot and load points of objects she touches with her hands. She uses a large chain with a ball fastened to one end as a weapon.
